Dr. Thurm received a B.S. in Animal Science from Pennsylvania State University, a Master's Degree in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University College of Medicine, and her Veterinary Degree form St. Mathew's University. Dr. Thurm completed her clinical year of training at the University of Illinois.

As a practicing veterinarian, her interests include preventive and wellness medicine, senior pet/hospice care and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Thurm currently resides in Hainesport, NJ with her husband and two rescue dogs, Barkley and Sammy. Barkley (pictured) shares a special place in her heart as Dr. Thurm adopted him during her veterinary studies in the Cayman Islands.

In her free time, Dr. Thurm enjoys group-exercise classes, cooking, home-improvement projects, playing/cuddling with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
